A Wee Bit About Me

My photo
Dave Trant
Prince Albert, Ontario, Canada
I'm a Toronto born artist. I currently work and live at my studio in Prince Albert, Ontario, near Lake Scugog. My woodcarving is generally whimsical and is influenced by East Coast Canadian Folk Art. I'm a self taught woodcarver and currently make my living as a carver and a painter. I also do digital artwork and photography. My background is painting and I graduated from the Ontario College of Art back in 1991 in painting and drawing. .....My work is sold in several galleries (see LINKS) and I do the odd show. I also enjoy working on comissions. ....I can be contacted at: dtrant@powergate.ca
